Natosha Green
| An only
child, I was born and raised in the Dallas, Texas area. Currently, I am
single, have no children and am still living in the DFW metroplex today. As a teen, I was always interested in weight training and bodybuilding. However, as you may imagine, there was not much encouragement or outlets for girls wanting to pursue those things. My first introduction to "heavy" weight training came at UT Austin, where I joined the powerlifting team in 1995. While I was successful- currently I am a USPF Texas state bench press record holder - I was not passionate about the sport. For the next 3 years I was in and out of the gym, but never consistent or with a definitive goal. It wasn't until I "wandered" into Metroflex Gym that I got my first taste of bodybuilding and found my passion. There I met Mr. Brian Dobson who really convinced me that I had some natural talent and pushed me to give bodybuilding a try. Twice I dieted, in 1999 and 2000, in preparation for my first novice show only to quit within weeks of the shows both times. My first competition was in 2001. I was "bitten by the bug". In a year's time I went from novice to a Top 10 placing at the 2002 NPC Nationals. CONTEST HISTORY: 2001 Red River Classic, Novice Middle Weight and Overall Winner; 2002 Ronnie Coleman Classic, Open Middle Weight and Overall Winner; 2002 NPC Nationals, 9th place Middle Weight (my first national show); Currently I weight train and do 45 minutes of cardio 6 days per week. This keeps me at an off-season weight of about 145 pounds and a comfy size 6 on my 5'4" frame. I like to enter a competition weighing about 128 pounds, not too far out of sight from 145. SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ARE : Ice cream, especially anything Blue Bell - NOT THE FAT-FREE CRAP!!!; Chocolate, Godiva is a girl's second best friend; Anything cheesy, I could eat Tex-Mex everyday ALL DAY; Gunter, yes Mr. Schlierkamp - tall, blond, blue-eyed, accent, BODY OF A GOD....I could go on and on and....you get the point:) DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNEW: I absolutely hate posing and flexing on stage; I have a total "girl crush" on Lenda Murray; I love country music - a Texas girl to the heart; My sole goal in life is to be the best me I can be, onstage and off. THANK YOUS: To my Lord, Jesus Christ: Thank you for your guidance and patience; To my family & friends: Thank you all for all your love and support; To my fans: Thank you so much for visiting my web site. I am absolutely flattered that you have taken an interest in me. Stay tuned... the best is yet to come! Take care, Natosha |
